Peshawar: As many as 19 Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs) of Swat district have been promoted to the rank of Sub-Inspector, along with 118 ASIs serving in different units of Malakand Division, according to a notification issued by the Regional Police Officer (RPO) Malakand.
A ceremony was held at the District Police Office, Swat, where District Police Officer Muhammad Umar Khan and Superintendent of Police Operations, Ghulam Sadiq Khan pinned the new ranks on 18 promoted officers serving in different units of Swat police.
The promoted officers included Syed Ali Khan, Israr Syed, Muhammad Ilyas, Bashir Ahmad, Naeemullah, Usman Ali, Sohrab Khan, Waqar Ali, Munir Ahmad, Gohar Rahman, Muhammad Daud, Anwar Saadat, Fazal Wadood, Nisar Ahmad, Anwar Khan, Farmanullah, Asghar Khan and Sher Alam.
Congratulating the promoted officers, District Police Officer (DPO), Muhammad Umar Khan said departmental promotion and advancement in rank were important milestones in a police officer’s career and reflected increased responsibilities.
He urged the officers to perform their duties with greater dedication, serve citizens selflessly, protect their lives and property, and maintain discipline and professional conduct.
