Quetta: Balochistan Minister Mir Ziaullah Langov on Thursday strongly condemned terrorist attack on Mir Shafiqur Rehman Mengal House in Khuzdar

He said that Anti-peace elements could never succeed in their nefarious objectives, people of Balochistan, tribes and security agencies are united against terrorism.

The Minister said that enemy forces would not be forgiven under any circumstances saying that security agencies are taking vigorous action against terrorists.

He noted that search operation is underway to arrest elements involved in Khuzdar incident, law and order situation would be maintained in Balochistan at all costs,

‘Entire nation is united in the war against terrorism’, he said and added that some anti-peace elements wanted to destabilize peace through sabotage activities which would be foiled by contribution of security forces and public.

Quetta: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday categorically declared the unwavering resolve of both the political and military leadership to completely eradicate the menace of terrorism from the country, asserting that anti-terror operations would continue until the very last terrorist is eliminated from Pakistani soil.

“I want to announce this decision today, on behalf of myself, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and the Balochistan government, that we will not step back from fighting this menace. We will eliminate it by utilising all available resources, and Pakistan will become a cradle of progress and prosperity,’ the prime minister said in his remarks while chairing the Provincial Apex Committee meeting on the National Action Plan here.

The high-level meeting was attended by Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Federal Ministers Attaullah Tarar and Ahad Khan Cheema, Advisor to PM Rana Sanaullah, Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, and the heads of various law enforcement agencies.

The prime minister said that very serious incidents had taken place during the last four days, resulting in the martyrdom of policemen, soldiers, and civilians, assuring that the entire nation stood shoulder-to-shoulder with the armed forces and law enforcement agencies in this testing time.

Paying rich tributes to the sacrifices of the personnel of the Pakistan Army, police, LEAs, and innocent civilians, he expressed deep grief over the recent tragic incidents across Balochistan.

He informed the participants that 54 terrorists were successfully neutralized by the security forces during recent operations following the attacks.

“We will work day and night, and we will not step back until this menace is completely uprooted,” Prime Minister Shehbaz reiterated.

He stated that, undoubtedly, Pakistan’s eastern neighbor was fully involved in fanning terrorism in all aspects.

‘They are providing funding as well as weapons to these terrorists and their groups. Operating from Afghanistan, these terrorists collectively conduct attacks in Balochistan and KP,’ he added.

‘Likewise, there are also some other external hands, about which I do not want to say anything further now,’ he remarked.

He said that the nefarious designs of Fitna al-Khawaraj and other hostile elements stemmed from their inability to digest Pakistan’s growing diplomatic achievements and successes on the international horizon.

“Whether it is our diplomatic successes, or last year’s four-day Marka-e-Haq – the enemies simply cannot digest the great honor Allah Almighty has bestowed upon Pakistan. They are constantly looking for ways to create difficulties for us,” the prime minister remarked.

He said these adversaries were desperate to create hurdles in Pakistan’s path to economic stability, but stressed that their malicious designs were bound to fail.

Concluding his remarks, Prime Minister Shehbaz prayed for peace for the martyred souls and extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, praying for strength to them to bear the loss with fortitude.

Quetta: The funeral prayers of three Balochistan Police personnel were offered with official honors who had been martyred in a terrorist attack in the Sanjawi area of Ziarat district at the Sanjawi Football Ground on Thursday.

According to the Balochistan Police spokesperson, the funeral prayers were attended by Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Sibi, Pervez Ahmed Umrani, Deputy Commissioner Ziarat, Abdul Quddus Achakzai, Superintendent of Police (SP) Ziarat, Abdul Malik, Provincial Minister, Noor Muhammad Dummar, political and tribal elders, civil and military officials, police officers, officials and a large number of people. After the funeral prayers, the martyrs were laid to rest with full official honors.

On this occasion, a well-dressed contingent of Balochistan Police saluted the martyrs, while the atmosphere echoed with slogans of ‘Long live the martyrs of the homeland’.

The participants paid tribute to the great sacrifices of the martyrs and said that the services of Balochistan Police for defending the homeland, establishing peace and eliminating terrorism would always be remembered.

He reiterated the resolve that the sacrifices of the martyrs would never go in vain and the nefarious intentions of terrorist elements to be thwarted at all costs.

It should be noted that Balochistan Police personnel were martyred in a terrorist attack in the Sanjawi area of Ziarat district yesterday, after which the security forces also launched a search operation in the area.

Quetta: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday reaffirmed the government’s unwavering resolve to eradicate terrorism, amid declaring that the state would continue its operations until the last terrorist was eliminated and all available resources would be mobilised to restore lasting peace and stability in the country.

Chairing the provincial Apex Committee meeting here, the prime minister said the recent wave of terrorist attacks in Balochistan, which claimed the lives of security personnel and civilians, would not weaken the state’s determination.

He paid tribute to the martyrs and praised the sacrifices rendered by the armed forces, law enforcement agencies and innocent citizens in the fight against terrorism.

The prime minister said security forces had neutralised 54 terrorists during recent operations, adding that the campaign against terrorists would continue until the complete elimination of “Fitna al-Khawarij.”

He said the entire nation stood shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces and law enforcement agencies, and expressed confidence that their sacrifices would soon lead to the complete defeat of terrorism.

Prime Minister Shehbaz alleged that hostile elements, particularly Pakistan’s eastern neighbour, were providing financial and military support to terrorist groups, while militants were also launching attacks from Afghan territory. He said there were other external actors involved but refrained from elaborating further.

He stressed that the country’s political and military leadership was united in its commitment to defeat terrorism, saying no effort would be spared in eliminating the menace. He said enemies of Pakistan wanted to undermine the country’s growing international stature, diplomatic achievements and recent strategic successes, but their designs would be defeated.

Announcing the outcome of the meeting, the prime minister said in consultation with Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and the Government of Balochistan, it had been decided to intensify efforts against terrorist groups and employ every available resource to restore peace across the province and the country.

He offered prayers for the martyrs’ highest ranks in Jannah and patience and fortitude for their families, while expressing confidence that their sacrifices would pave the way for a peaceful, stable and prosperous Pakistan.
