Multan: The Sports Department Multan, in collaboration with the district administration, will organize a Sports Gala for students of religious seminaries to promote healthy and positive activities among youth.
District Sports Officer (DSO) Multan Adnan Naeem said on Monday that the event was being arranged on the special directions of Deputy Commissioner Multan Dr Faisal Saleem in connection with the celebrations marking the arrival of Rabi-ul-Awwal and Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH).
He said that cricket matches among teams representing different madrasas of Multan district would be held on August 28 (Friday) at the Divisional Sports Ground, Multan.
Adnan Naeem said the event would provide madrasa students with an opportunity to participate in healthy sporting activities and showcase their cricketing talent in a competitive and friendly environment. Teams from various religious seminaries of the district would participate in the matches and entertain cricket enthusiasts with their performances.
He further said that all necessary facilities would be provided to the participating players, while special prizes would be awarded to players who demonstrated outstanding performances during the event.
The DSO said the initiative reflected the administration’s commitment to promoting sports, healthy activities and positive engagement among young people.
