Peshawar: The teams of district administration here Saturday fixed per kilogram rates of fruits, vegetables, and chicken and directed vendors to ensure display of price lists for consumers on prominent places in markets.

The price list of edibles; per kilogram rate for chicken was fixed at Rs 345. The rates of vegetables are potato Rs 100, onion Rs100, tomato Rs210, cucumber Rs240, garlic Rs3200, ginger Rs320, ladyfinger 130, eggplant Rs120, pumpkin Rs120, cauliflower Rs 120 and cabbage was available on Rs 100 per Kg in district Peshawar.

Similarly, the rate of fruits are Mango (Langra Rs 160 per kilogram (Kg), Mango (Sindhri) Rs 280, Mango (Malwa) Rs 140, Mango (Chaunsa) Rs 210, apple (white) Rs 240, apricot Rs 260, peach 240 guava (Kohat) Rs 200, Garma (Quetta) Rs 120, leechi Rs 640 and per dozen Banana No. 1 would available on Rs230.

Rawalpindi: District administration on Saturday launched a large-scale operation against illegal constructions and encroachments in Murree, demolishing multiple unlawful structures.

According to the details, the operations was conducted in various areas using heavy machinery to remove illegal constructions, to curb unlawful constructions, protect state land, improve civic facilities and preserve the natural beauty of the tourist resort.

Legal action was also being taken against those found violating relevant laws during the operation, officials added.

The administration maintained that the crackdown was being conducted without discrimination and that no individual or organisation would be given any concession.

All actions were being carried out strictly in accordance with the law to ensure the complete elimination of illegal constructions and encroachments.

The district administration urged citizens to obtain necessary approvals from relevant departments before undertaking any construction activity and to refrain from illegal practices, warning that strict legal action would be taken in case of violations.

Sialkot: The Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) Institute of Surgical Technology (Center of Excellence) located at the Metal Industries Development Center (MIDC),Sialkot,will hold a certificate distribution ceremony for graduates of its Competency-Based Training and Assessment (CBTA) courses on July 14,2026(Tuesday).

According to a statement,the ceremony will be held at the TEVTA Institute of Surgical Technology (Center of Excellence),MIDC Cantt,Sialkot, where certificates will be awarded to students who have successfully completed their training.

Sialkot International Manufacturers Association of Pakistan (SIMAP) Chairman,Zeeshan Tariq will attend the ceremony as the chief guest and distribute certificates among the graduates.

The ceremony will recognize the achievements of trainees and highlight the importance of technical and vocational education in developing a skilled workforce, the statement added.

Muzaffargarh: Two people were killed and four others injured after a cattle-laden truck crashed into an oil tanker on the Muzaffargarh-Dera Ghazi Khan Road near Ganjera School,Rescue 1122 officials said on Saturday.

According to rescue officials,the truck,carrying six animals,rammed into the rear of the tanker,leaving two occupants dead at the scene and four others injured.

Eyewitnesses claimed the truck driver was using a mobile phone when the accident occurred.

They said the oil tanker rolled backwards on a slope before colliding with the truck, which was en route to the Multan cattle market.One animal was killed and another injured in the collision.

Rescue 1122 dispatched three ambulances,a rescue vehicle and a fire tender to the scene.

The injured were administered first aid before being shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital, Muzaffargarh.

Police cordoned off the area and traffic was restored after rescue teams confirmed there was no oil leakage from the tanker.

The deceased were identified as Muhammad Ramzan(27) and Muhammad Amir(27).

The injured were identified as Jaffar Hussain(40),Fayyaz(42),Ishaq(45),r/o Shah Jamal and an unidentified man.

All were shifted to the DHQ Hospital for treatment.

Sargodha: The Sargodha Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SWCCI) convened an executive meeting on Saturday to discuss its upcoming initiatives and strategic roadmap aimed at strengthening the chamber’s role in promoting women entrepreneurship

According to the SWCCI spokesperson here, President Shammim Aftab, Founder Senior Vice President Sadia Khan, Founder Vice President Tanzila Riaz, Acting President Sumaira Hurraira and Executive Members attended the meeting.

Dera ismail khan: The body of a 22-year-old man who drowned in the Indus River near Dera Ismail Khan was recovered on Saturday after a two-day search operation carried out by Rescue 1122.

According to Rescue 1122 spokesperson, the operation was conducted under the supervision of District Emergency Officer Muhammad Arif Khan to locate the missing youth, identified as Muhammad Hassan, son of Sadiq, a resident of Kachi Pind Khan.

The victim reportedly drowned at around 5: 40 p.m. on Friday while in the Indus River opposite the National Club.

Rescue 1122’s trained divers and water rescue teams continued the search operation at various points along the river on the second day, eventually recovering the body.

After completing the necessary legal formalities, Rescue 1122 handed over the body to the bereaved family.

District Emergency Officer Muhammad Arif Khan appreciated the efforts and professionalism of the rescue personnel who participated in the operation and expressed heartfelt condolences to the deceased’s family.
