Faisalabad: Faisalabad divisional administration has assigned tasks to the officers for monitoring CM’s beautification projects across the division.

Chairing a meeting here on Friday, Commissioner Imran Hamid Sheikh directed the officers of the Commissioner’s office to strictly monitor all ongoing projects including the Punjab development program in the division. He said that transparency in public welfare projects should be a top priority.

The meeting also discussed the implementation of the Metro Bus Project, model village project and the austerity campaign.

Rawalpindi: Police have arrested the alleged ringleader of a gang involved in robberies, motorcycle theft and recovered five stolen motorcycles, three mobile phones from his possession during a successful operation.

Police have also recovered weapons used in the crime here on Friday.

According to police spokesperson, New Town police have registered a case and further investigation was in progress.

SP Rawal Saad Arshad commended police team and said that the arrested suspect will be presented before the court with solid evidence to ensure legal proceedings are carried out effectively.

“Those who deprive citizens of their valuable belongings cannot escape the grip of the law,” SP Rawal Saad Arshad made it clear that it is prime duty of police to protect the lives and property of citizens.

Faisalabad: Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Noman Siddique has directed to complete the development schemes managed by Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) on time, clarifying that funds will be managed as per the requirements for the completion of these development schemes.

He said this during his visit to the main force line in Dawood Chowk, trunk sewer on Jhang road, Chakera main line, underground storage tank in Crescent ground and monsoon emergency relief camp at Mandi Morrh here on Friday.

WASA Managing Director Saqib Raza briefed about the CM package, Punjab development package, ponding points, and foreign funded project.

The Deputy Commissioner said that all public welfare projects should be completed as soon as possible, for which the concerned contractors should be instructed to speed up the pace of work.

DMD Operations Farhan Akram, DMD Engineering Shoaib Zia, Deputy Director Development Syed Naveed Shah and other WASA officers were also present on the occasion.
