Quetta: Adviser to Chief Minister of Balochistan for Women Development Dr. Rubaba Khan Buledi on Wednesday visited the Benazir Bhutto Emergency Response Trauma Center in Quetta, where she inspected various wards and reviewed the medical services being provided to patients on Wednesday.

During the visit, the Trauma Center’s Managing Director, Dr. Kamran Khan Kasi, and Additional Director, Dr. Abdul Hafeez Sial, briefed Dr. Buledi on the center’s performance, advanced medical facilities, and digital healthcare system.

The briefing highlighted that the Benazir Bhutto Emergency Response Trauma Center operates on a fully paperless system, with all administrative and clinical processes digitized.

Patients’ complete medical records are securely maintained in a centralized digital database, ensuring greater efficiency, transparency, and faster access to healthcare services.

Expressing satisfaction with the center’s modern medical facilities, digital infrastructure, and patient care services, Dr. Rubaba Khan Buledi said that the adoption of advanced technology in Balochistan’s healthcare sector is a highly encouraging development.

She noted that a paperless and digital system not only enhances administrative efficiency but also plays a vital role in ensuring the timely delivery of quality healthcare services to patients.

Dr. Runaba Buledi also commended the efforts of the Trauma Center’s management and medical staff and expressed hope that similar digital transformation initiatives would be implemented across other government healthcare institutions in the province, enabling the public to benefit from improved and more efficient medical services.

Quetta: On special directive of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Makran Range, Imran Qureshi and Senior Superintendent of Police Gwadar, Flight Lieutenant (R) Atta-ur-Rehman Khan, Gwadar City Police arrested three alleged suspects of a motorcycle thief gang operating in the city during a successful intelligence-based operation (IBOs).

According to the police, five stolen motorcycles were recovered from the possession of the suspects during the operation. The arrested suspects included Mulla Bakhsh, resident of Kalanchi Para, Gwadar, Abdullah, Muhammad, resident of Kalanchi Para, Gwadar, and Hasil, resident of Dasht/Kalanchi Para, Gwadar.

Police said that preliminary investigation of the suspects was ongoing, while raids were being conducted at various locations to arrest other alleged gang members and recover more stolen motorcycles.

Gwadar Police said that indiscriminate operations were continuing against criminal elements and all possible steps were being taken to establish law and order situation in the district, protect the lives and property of the public, and completely eradicate crime.

Gwadar Police has appealed to citizens to immediately share information about any suspicious activity or crime with the police so that crime prevention could be made more effective through timely action.

Quetta: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Balochistan, Muhammad Tahir, after completing a departmental inquiry, on Wednesday dismissed former Acting Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) City Turbat, Inspector Sher Jan from the police service for gross negligence, incompetence, mismanagement and failure to perform duties.

In light of the recommendations of the inquiry committee, a final show cause notice was issued to the accused officer. In this regard, even after responding to the recommendations of the investigation committee and the inquiry and after a personal hearing, he could not effectively refute the allegations or present any acceptable and solid justification.

The Balochistan Police Spokesperson said that negligence, mismanagement and breach of discipline in the performance of duties would not be tolerated in the police department under any circumstances and strict action would be taken against the officials who neglect their responsibilities to protect the lives and property of the public as per the law and rules.

Meanwhile, the process of giving cash rewards, appreciation certificates and promotions to the officials according to the reward and punishment under the self-accountability process system in the department was also underway.

Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti on Wednesday paid tribute to security forces for conducting successful intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in Surab area of Kalat and Mastung.

He said that the destruction of terrorist hideouts and the arrest of elements involved in planning suicide attacks is a major success of the law enforcement agencies.

The Chief Minister mentioned that every conspiracy to sabotage the peace of Balochistan would be foiled for interest of the province development, there would be no concessions for anti-state elements.

He stated that operations against terrorists and their facilitators operating under the patronage of India would be continued to the logical conclusion adding that the Balochistan government would stand by the security forces and law enforcement agencies until the complete elimination of terrorism.

Mir Sarfraz Bugti maintained that peace, stability and protection of people’s lives and property are the top priority of the government in Balochistan, the war against terrorism would continue with full force.

‘The sacrifices and achievements of the security forces are a source of pride for the entire nation, all resources will be utilized to uproot the scourge of terrorism’, he said.

Quetta: Federal Ombudsman (FO) Regional Office Quetta gave judgment in favor of petitioner Khair Muhammad and ordered concerned sector to provide relief of Rs. 1,07,000 in terms of gas bill.

Petitioner Khair Muhammad said that due to gas leakage, the petitioner received a bill of more than Rs. 2,00,000 as he went to the gas office several time to correct it, but the concerned office did not pay any heed to the issue.

Therefore, to get justice, he approached the Federal Ombudsman Regional Office Quetta and filed an application against the concerned department. As soon as the application was received, the Federal Ombudsman Regional Office Quetta started a timely inquiry and started the immediate hearing of the case by summoning the concerned department.

During the hearing, the concerned department admitted its mistake and corrected the petitioner’s bill on the order of the federal ombudsman, which provided the petitioner with a relief of Rs, 1,07,000 on the gas bill. The petitioner thanked the Federal Ombudsman for this timely and fair decision.

Meanwhile, in the second case, the Federal Ombudsman Regional Office Quetta issued order to National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) to correct the name of family member of petitioner Abdul Ghaffar who had filed case in the Federal Ombudsman that NADRA had included strangers’ people in family tree.

In third case, Federal Ombudsman Regional Office Quetta directed Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO) to provide with a relief of Rs 34, 700 to petitioner Muhammad Umar in term of electricity bill.
