Lahore: District Administration has completed all arrangements to celebrate Basant on 22,000 rooftops that are being booked in the Walled City.
Likewise 254 dilapidated buildings banned from celebrating Basant.
The main official event of Basant will be celebrated at the Royal Fort.
In the preparations for the big Basant, roofs for rent ranging from two to 2.5 million have been started.
According to the Walled City statistics, Basant will be celebrated on 22,000 roofs in the inner city.
A ban has been imposed on celebrating Basant on the roofs of only 254 dilapidated buildings.
According to sources, the roof booking of Asif Jan Haveli in Chuna Mandi, inner city, is being sold for 1.5 million for three days.
The rate of Mian Sali Haveli is 1.5 million rupees. The rate of Mubarak, Nisar, Alif Shah, Haveli, Cocoz, Haveli Mian Khan, Haveli Mian Ji Sultan, Haveli Brod Khan is being sold for 2.5 million.
DG Walled City Najam Saqib says that preparations for the safe Basant festival are underway, but in no case will Basant be celebrated on the roofs of dilapidated buildings.
