Street children games held in Nagarparkar, over 150 boys and girls participate in first ever mountain climbing event


Hyderabad: The Sports and Youth Affairs Department, Sindh organized street children games in Nagarparkar, Tharparkar, with children and young people participating enthusiastically.



According to a handout issued here on Tuesday, a mountain climbing competition was also organized for the first time in the department’s history. More than 150 male and female participants took part in the competition.



Various traditional games including Bata, Gabri, Wanjh Wati, Kodi and Malakhra were also arranged for children at the historic Gori Temple in Nagarparkar. Prizes were distributed among children and players who showed outstanding performance.



Former secretary sports and youth affairs Abdul Aleem Lashari, director general culture Habibullah Memon and director culture Hidayatullah Rajar attended the event.



On the occasion, the department also announced plans to organize large scale mountain climbing programs in Tharparkar in future to promote adventure sports in the region.
