Quetta: On special directive of Commissioner Loralai Division Wali Muhammad Bareach and Deputy Commissioner Loralai Miran Baloch, Assistant Commissioner Loralai Nadeem Akram conducted an operation against poppy (dark) in Mekhtar (Toda Chana and Kach Chakhi) on Thursday.
The Assistant Commissioner said that full action would be taken until the scourge of drugs is eradicated and this operation would be further accelerated.
FC Mekhtar Force and Anti-Narcotics Force also participated in the operation.
Jointly, 22 acres of poppy cultivation was destroyed by driving a tractor and some were demolished by burning. The district administration Loralai reiterated its resolve that drug cultivation and business would not be tolerated under any circumstances and operations would continue under the zero-tolerance policy to eradicate drugs.
