Quetta: Reko Diq Mining Company (RDMC), together with the RDMC Community Development Committees (CDCs), celebrated academic excellence with a Scholarship Award Ceremony in Nokkundi area of Chagai district on Thursday.
The event recognized 53 outstanding students from District Chagai, including 19 young women, who have been awarded fully funded scholarships to attend a six-month Foundation Program at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Sukkur under the RDMC Scholarship Program.
Parents and community members joined the students to mark this important milestone.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ashley Price, RDMC’s Head of Sustainability, emphasized the commitment of the company and the CDCs to people-centered development, ‘Sustainability is about investing in people. Education builds resilient communities, and every student here has earned this opportunity through dedication and hard work.
Their success reflects the support of families and communities who believe higher education is within reach.’
Members of the Community Development Committees (CDCs) from Nokkundi, Humai, and Fan Sediments also addressed the gathering.
They acknowledged RDMC’s continued commitment to community development and reaffirmed their intent to work collaboratively with the company for the long-term benefit of local communities.
Certificates were presented to the scholarship recipients, who will now embark on a program designed to strengthen academic skills, boost confidence, and prepare them for university admissions across Pakistan.

This RDMC scholarship program is one of several initiatives delivered in partnership with local CDCs, ranging from support for primary education to scholarships for deserving students from Balochistan who are already enrolled in universities and require support to complete their studies.
