Quetta: Assistant Commissioner (AC) Gandawa Muhammad Ramzan Kurd along with DSP Headquarters Zulfiqar Ali Pandrani and SHO City Inspector Abdul Razaq Chanjani paid a surprise visit to the main market to implement price control list of edible items in Gandawa city on Tuesday.
During the visit, he reviewed the prices, quality and cleanliness of vegetables, fruits, meat and other food items. While inspecting various shops, he issued instructions to the shopkeepers to ensure implementation of the government price list, especially vegetable vendors and butchers, strictly warning them to sell meat, vegetables and other food items as per the prices fixed by the government.
He said that strict action would be taken against shopkeepers selling expired goods and charging excessive prices.
He also emphasized on cleanliness and quality of goods, and strictly warned them to remove encroachments in front of the shops.
He issued instructions to the shopkeepers to ensure immediate implementation by banning them from keep
ing and selling non-custom paid cigarettes and other goods in their shops.
