Quetta: Balochistan Agriculture Secretary Noor Ahmed Pirkani on Tuesday chaired a meeting regarding Pishin Fruit and Vegetable Market in which important decisions were taken regarding making the market fully functional.
The meeting was attended by Director General Agriculture Extension Masood Baloch, Additional Deputy Commissioner Pishin Najam Kakar, Director Economic and Marketing Abdul Khaliq Jogezai, Secretary Market Committee Pishin Shah Zaman Kakar, Administrator Market Committee Pishin Manzoor Ahmed, Chairman Union Ramzan Khan, Union members Abdul Rehman and Obaidullah, and other relevant officers.
Addressing the meeting, Balochistan Agriculture Secretary Noor Ahmed Pirkani said that it is the responsibility of the government to provide all basic facilities to the businessmen associated with the market for which a comprehensive and effective plan has been prepared.
He said that in this regard, a foundation stone laying ceremony for a mosque and other facilities would be held in Pishin Fruit and Vegetable Market on January 24, in which elected members of the assembly, district administration Pishin, union representatives and dignitaries of the area would be invited.
The Agriculture Secretary further said that the full activation of the Pishin Fruit and Vegetable Market would not only boost business activities in the area but also farmers associated with agriculture could benefit significantly due to better market access, reasonable prices and other facilities, which would enable the overall economic development of the area.
The meeting also decided that regular advertisements will be published in newspapers by the Pishin Market Committee for all necessary matters and awareness related to the market so that all concerned can get timely information.
