Mirpur: Azad Jammu and Kashmir President Muhammad Najeeb Naqi hosted a dinner at the Presidency in the State metropolis in honour of Member of the European Parliament Mary Khan, showcasing the region’s rich cultural heritage, tourism potential and mineral resources, it was officially said.
AJK Minister for Health Dr Mustafa Bashir Abbasi, Minister for School Education Umair Naeem, Chief Secretary Khushal Khan, Inspector General of Police Liaqat Ali Malik, secretaries and other senior officials attended the dinner, the AJK President’s Office told reporter correspondent on Saturday.
Special stalls showcasing Kashmiri culture, tourism attractions and mineral resources were set up by various departments of the AJK government. The guests visited the stalls, where departmental officials briefed them about the region’s diverse sectors and available resources.
The event also featured performances by Kashmiri singers and artists, which were appreciated by the participants. A documentary highlighting AJK’s scenic tourist destinations and natural beauty was also screened, providing guests with an insight into the region’s tourism potential and rich cultural heritage.
