Kohat: District Police Officer (DPO) Kohat, SSP Rai Mazhar Iqbal, on Tuesday lauded ambulance drivers who played a vital role in rescue and relief operations during the Police Lines Mosque blast, appreciating their dedication in transporting the injured and martyrs under emergency conditions.
Addressing a meeting with the ambulance drivers, the DPO acknowledged their invaluable contribution during the tragedy and commended them for performing their duties with courage, professionalism and a strong sense of humanitarian responsibility.
He said that immediately after the incident, ambulance drivers actively participated in rescue activities, ensuring the timely evacuation of the injured to hospitals and assisting in the transportation of martyrs.
‘Their prompt response, commitment to service and sense of duty during an extremely difficult situation greatly contributed to the relief efforts,’ SSP Rai Mazhar Iqbal said.
The DPO noted that the role of ambulance drivers in saving lives and supporting emergency operations during the aftermath of the blast was highly commendable and deserved public recognition.
On the occasion, he distributed appreciation certificates among the ambulance drivers in recognition of their services and paid tribute to their dedication and sacrifices.
SSP Rai Mazhar Iqbal said Kohat Police highly values the services of all individuals who assisted in rescue and relief operations during the tragedy.
He added that those who stood alongside the police and the public in difficult times and contributed to the protection of human lives would continue to receive encouragement and recognition for their humanitarian services.
