Applications sought for 9,500 tractors under Punjab’s high-power green tractors scheme

Lahore: The Punjab Agriculture Department has invited applications from farmers for 9,500 tractors of 75 horsepower and above under the Punjab Chief Minister High-Power Green Tractors Programme. According to a department spokesperson here on Thursday, a subsidy of Rs 1 million would be provided on each tractor under the programme, while applicants must have a minimum agricultural landholding of seven acres. Farmers in computerized villages can submit their applications through the programme’s online portal or the official website of the Punjab Agriculture Department. Farmers from non-computerised villages can download the application form from the department’s website or obtain it free of cost from Agriculture Extension offices. The completed application form, along with the required information, should be submitted to the office of the concerned Deputy Director Agriculture (Extension).
