Lahore: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Monday granted police a 21-day physical remand of former Punjab Assembly member Shabbir Gujjar in a case pertaining to the attack on Jinnah House.
Police produced Shabbir Gujjar before the court after an identification parade and informed the judge that he had been identified during the process.
The prosecutor requested physical remand to enable investigators to complete the investigation. The court granted the request and directed police to produce the accused before the court on October 18 after completing the investigation.
Police had arrested Shabbir Gujjar about a week ago in connection with the Jinnah House attack case.
Sarwar Road police had registered the case against several PTI leaders and workers on charges of attacking Jinnah House, the official residence of the Lahore corps commander, during the May 9 riots.
