Back to school programme held


Sargodha: Under the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, a Back to School Program was organized in a private school in collaboration with UNICEF, School Education Department and GPC Transforming Education. Assistant Commissioner Sargodha Ahmed Sher Gondal was chief guest on the occasion. Along with the Chief Executive Officer Education, they completed the registration process of the children in the nursery class and distributed school bags and books among the students. They met the children and also took interest in their educational activities. Addressing on the occasion, Assistant Commissioner Ahmed Sher Gondal said that education was the fundamental right of every child and the Punjab government was taking practical steps to provide quality education to the children as well as a conducive environment for going to school.



He said the aim of Back to School program was to attract children back to educational activities and provide them with necessary educational facilities. He said that providing books and school bags to children would prove helpful in their educational journey, while timely registration of children at the nursery level would provide them with better opportunities for early education. The Punjab government, in line with the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, was continuing to take steps to improve the education sector and ensure access to educational facilities to every child. Officers of the education department, school administration, teachers, parents and students were also present on the occasion.
