Peshawar: Levies personnel on Sunday arrested a suspected woman drug smuggler and recovered more than two kilograms of high-quality hashish from her possession during a raid at Malakand Top.
According to Levies officials, Post Commander Siraj Khan received information about the presence of a suspicious veiled woman at a waiting area at Malakand Top.
Acting on the information, Levies personnel launched a search operation on the special directives of Deputy Commissioner Fayyaz Sherpao and Subedar Major Naik Rehman.
A lady constable searched the woman and recovered two packets of hashish weighing 1,205 grams and 1,198 grams, respectively. The total quantity of the seized contraband was recorded at 2,403 grams.
The suspect was identified as Gulshan Bibi, a resident of Budhber, Peshawar. She was taken into custody and a case was registered against her under relevant laws.
