Peshawar: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Peshawar on Tuesday declared the results of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) annual examinations 2026, with students of Peshawar Model Girls High School No. 2, Dalazak Road, securing all three top positions in the science group.
Speaking at the result announcement ceremony, Secretary for Elementary and Secondary Education Muhammad Khalid Khan congratulated the position holders and said the board’s ongoing reforms had strengthened transparency and merit in the examination system.
He reaffirmed the provincial government’s commitment to improving the quality of education and encouraging talented students through recognition and support.
According to the board, 95, 496 candidates appeared in the Class X examinations, of whom 66, 988 passed, taking the overall pass percentage to 70. 15 percent.
Aumeema Ali of Peshawar Model Girls High School No. 2 topped the science group with 1, 182 marks, followed by Syeda Atiqa Shah with 1, 178 marks and Hareem Khan with 1, 177 marks, completing a clean sweep of the top three positions for the institution.
In the humanities group, Muhammad Abu Zar of Usmania Children Academy, Peshawar Saddar, secured first position, while private candidate Saira Zafar from Chitral and Sheikh Muhammad Hamdan of the same academy claimed second and third positions, respectively.
In the special children category, Mahmood Ayaz Khankhel of Umeed Special Education School, Peshawar, stood first, Rabia Bibi secured second position and Muhammad Azan Khalid finished third.
The secretary also distributed cash awards of Rs120, 000, Rs100, 000 and Rs80, 000 to the first, second and third position holders, respectively, along with certificates of appreciation, acknowledging their exceptional academic performance.
Students and parents celebrated the results, with the achievers crediting their success to hard work, family support and the guidance of their teachers.
