Peshawar: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Tuesday called on the international community to take ethical and legal action to prevent India from continuing its illegal actions and to stop the oppression of the Kashmiris of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

The Governor Kundi in his message on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day, on February 5th, expressed strong solidarity with the people of Kashmir.

He said that this day serves as a reminder of the commitment to support the Kashmiri people's struggle for their right to self-determination through moral, political, and diplomatic means.

The Governor highlighted the severe human rights violations committed by the Indian occupying forces in Jammu and Kashmir, which are now well-known worldwide.

The Kashmiri people have endured decades of oppression, violence, and state-sponsored terrorism, but their resolve remains unshaken.

The Governor also condemned the illegal and unilateral actions taken by the Indian government on August 5, 2019, which intensified the wave of atrocities in the region, further exacerbating the human rights violations.

The Governor reaffirmed Pakistan's unwavering support for the Kashmiri people's right to self-determination and assured that the Pakistani government and its people would continue to advocate for Kashmir on every international platform.

He emphasized that the United Nations resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people confirm that the Kashmir issue should be resolved according to the will of the Kashmiri people.

He expressed admiration for the indomitable spirit of the Kashmiri people and hoped that the day would soon come when they would be able to breathe in the air of freedom.

The people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Pakistan, the Governor concluded, will always stand with their Kashmiri brothers and sisters in their pursuit of justice and freedom.

Peshawar: The auction of mines and minerals blocks were successfully conducted in Dir Lower under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Mr. Muhammad Arif Khan.

The event was attended by key officials, including the Executive Engineer of the Irrigation Department, Executive Engineer of C and W, DSP, and Assistant Director of Mines and Minerals.

According to the district administration, a total of 08 blocks had been auctioned so far, with two blocks successfully auctioned during today's session.

The remaining 26 blocks would be re-advertised soon to ensure transparency and competitive bidding. Several contractors participated in the bidding process, and the successful bidders were handed over the necessary documents for their respective blocks on the spot.

Sukkur: The staff of the Sukkur Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) on Tuesday expressed grief and sorrow over the death of the wife of Ex Station In-charge Sukkur Khuwaja Javed Ahmed.

Station Manager, Sukkur, Jamil Soomro expressed heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family over her demise.

In a condolence meeting, Allahdad Sheikh, Ghulam Yaseen Junejo, Muhammad Atherullah, Ms Kulsoom Ameen, Abdul Ghafoor and others prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved family to bear this loss with fortitude.

Faisalabad: Preparations for the upcoming National Horse and Cattle Show 2025 are in the final stage to hold this mega event in a most befitting manner.

In this connection, Director Livestock Dr. Syed Nadeem Badr has visited Kapoori Center, Research and Development (Rakh Khaire Wala) while Dr. Atta Subhani Assistant Director Headquarters, Dr. Muhammad Tariq Gudara Additional Director Livestock District Layyah, Dr. Muhammad Ibraheem Deputy Director Livestock Tehsil Chobara, Dr. Umar Farooq Deputy Director R and D Rakh Khaire Wala and Dr. Ikram Ullah Veterinary Officer RCCIB Jhang were also present on the occasion.

During visit, the officers inspected and gave final approval for the animals selected for cavalcade of the event.

The chosen animals included male and female livestock of Nachi breed and Daira Din Pannah breed.

The officers highlighted the importance of proper grooming and beautification of these animals to ensure their appearance in top form at the show.

Dr. Syed Nadeem Badr directed the Deputy Director R and D Rakh Khaire Wala to supervise condition of the selected animals and enhance their appearance to showcase them at their best.

He said that National Horse and Cattle Show 2025 was expected to highlight Pakistan's rich livestock heritage as various breeds and livestock competitions were included in this show.

This sow would provide a major platform for promoting livestock farming, genetic research and rural development by attracting a large number of local and international participants. Hence, all necessary preparations should be completed efficiently to make the show a grand success, he added.

Chichawatni: Deputy Commissioner (DC), Sahiwal, Shahid Mahmood here on Tuesday visited Tehsil Headquarter Hospital (THQ) to review healthcare facilities and administrative affairs.

He visited various wards of the hospital and checked facilities which were being provided to the patients there.

The hospital's administration briefed the DC about the healthcare facilities.

He also listened complaints of the patients and directed the concerned authorities to resolve them on priority.
