Chiniot: Deputy Commissioner Ayesha Rizwan on Saturday directed authorities to accelerate work on ongoing development projects across Chiniot district, stressing that all schemes must be completed within the prescribed timelines without compromising construction standards.
Chairing a meeting of the District Development Review Committee, the deputy commissioner reviewed the progress of development schemes with officials from the Highways, Buildings, Health, Education and other departments. Deputy Director Development Dr. Naveed briefed the meeting on the physical, financial and technical progress of the projects, highlighting completion status and challenges affecting implementation.
Ayesha Rizwan instructed department heads to closely monitor ongoing schemes, promptly remove bottlenecks and ensure transparent and efficient utilization of development funds. She warned that unnecessary delays in projects aimed at public welfare would not be tolerated and emphasized strict adherence to quality standards.
The deputy commissioner said the timely completion of development projects remained the district administration’s top priority in line with Punjab government directives, enabling the provision of improved public services and infrastructure. She also issued further directions to the relevant departments to enhance performance and expedite the pace of work.
