Peshawar:Special Assistant to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister on Home and Tribal Affairs Tariq Saeed Marwat has paid tribute to SHO Banda Daud Shah police station Daud Khan and gunner Farhad, who were martyred in a terrorist attack in New Karappa, Karak.
He said police sacrifices in the fight against terrorism were unforgettable and praised their courage and determination in protecting the people and maintaining law and order.
Tariq Saeed Marwat directed that efforts to apprehend those involved in the attack be further strengthened, saying the sacrifices of the martyrs would not go in vain.
He said law enforcement agencies were continuing operations against terrorists and criminal elements with determination and would continue performing their duties with commitment.
The Special Assistant expressed condolences to the bereaved families and said police personnel who sacrificed their lives while performing their duties were a source of pride for the entire nation.
He said police had rendered lasting sacrifices for peace and public protection that could never be forgotten.
Funeral prayers for the two martyred policemen were offered with full official honours at New Police Lines Karak, attended by Commissioner Kohat Moatasim Billah, RPO Kohat Irfan Tariq, DPO Karak Imran Khan, Deputy Commissioner Asad Sarwar and other senior police and civil officers.
