Peshawar:On the directives of the worthy Director General (DG) Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a team of EPA Central Directorate Peshawar conducted monitoring visits to various restaurants and hotels located along University Road, Peshawar.
During the visits, the management of restaurants and hotels was briefed about the importance of implementing necessary Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for smoke emission control and ensuring strict compliance with environmental laws and regulations.
The establishments were advised to adopt effective measures, including proper smoke control mechanisms, to minimize air pollution and contribute towards maintaining a clean and healthy environment.
EPA KP has reiterated that continued monitoring activities will be carried out, and in case of non-compliance, necessary legal action shall be initiated under the relevant environmental laws.
