Lahore: Lahore Commissioner Nauman Yousaf on Monday visited Kahna Nau Tehsil Headquarters Hospital to review healthcare services, patient care protocols and cleanliness standards in line with the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
During the visit, the commissioner inspected the emergency, surgery, medicine and gynaecology wards, besides examining the medicine store, drug stock and distribution records. He also met patients, inquired about treatment facilities and expressed satisfaction after receiving feedback regarding the availability of free medicines.
Nauman Yousaf reviewed cleanliness arrangements, duty rosters and sanitation standards, with particular focus on hospital washrooms. He directed the hospital administration to maintain strict hygiene in canteens, parking areas and other public facilities under a zero-tolerance policy, while ensuring the supply of clean drinking water and daily cleaning of water coolers.
The commissioner said inspections of public health facilities were being carried out according to a scheduled plan to ensure quality healthcare services and high standards of cleanliness across government hospitals.
