Sargodha: Commissioner Hafiz Shaukat Ali on Monday chaired a video-link meeting on Sunday to review fire safety arrangements in public hospitals, development schemes under own-source revenue and progress on the ‘Apna Khet Apna Rozgar’ programme. Deputy commissioners from across the division and other relevant officers attended the meeting. Reviewing fire safety measures at government hospitals, the commissioner directed the authorities to ensure that fire safety systems, emergency exits, firefighting equipment and emergency response arrangements met prescribed standards.

He said that any shortcomings in safety arrangements should be removed immediately and directed the authorities to ensure regular inspections and effective monitoring of fire safety measures. The meeting also reviewed proposed development schemes to be financed through own-source revenue.

Reviewing progress on the ‘Apna Khet Apna Rozgar’ programme, Hafiz Shaukat Ali directed the authorities to hand over physical possession of land without delay to successful farmers who had already been issued allotment certificates.
