Bahawalpur: Commissioner Irfan Ali Kathia visited the Government Experimental Livestock Farm at Chak Kathora, Hasilpur, to review livestock management, animal care and ongoing activities at the facility. The director livestock, assistant commissioner Hasilpur and other relevant officers were also present on the occasion. The director briefed the commissioner in detail on the farm’s management, livestock care, production and ongoing activities.
Commissioner Irfan Ali Kathia inspected the arrangements for feeding and caring for the animals and reviewed various administrative matters at the farm. He directed the concerned officials to pay special attention to the quality and quantity of animal feed to ensure better health and productivity of the livestock. He further directed that timely vaccination of the animals and all necessary veterinary and medical care be ensured on a priority basis.
The commissioner said the adoption of modern livestock management practices and timely veterinary treatment was essential for improving the livestock sector. Such measures, he added, would not only improve animal health and productivity but also contribute to strengthening the agricultural economy. During the visit, Commissioner Kathia directed the relevant officers to make the administrative affairs of the farm more efficient and transparent and ensure the optimum utilization of available resources so that the government facility could deliver results to its full potential.
