Rawalpindi: Commissioner, Rawalpindi Division, and Director General, Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), Salman Ghani, visited the RDA office on Friday and chaired a meeting to review ongoing development projects, urban planning initiatives, major achievements, and future development targets.
The meeting reviewed progress on key projects, including the Rawalpindi Ring Road, Old Airport Road (VVIP Route) and other ongoing and upcoming development schemes being executed by the RDA.
Chief Planner, RDA briefed the meeting on the status of approved, unapproved and illegal housing schemes in Rawalpindi. The meeting was informed that strict enforcement action was being taken against illegal housing schemes, while the Commissioner directed further intensification of action against violations in accordance with law.
Ghani stressed the need for modern urban development, effective planning, transparency and timely completion of development projects.
He directed the concerned officers to ensure efficient implementation of all development initiatives in line with the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
The Commissioner directed the officers to strengthen inter-departmental coordination, improve monitoring mechanisms and keep public interest as the foremost priority in all development and planning initiatives.
