Multan: Superintendent Police (SP) Cantonment Multan Dr. Khadija Umar delivered a lecture at seminar at a private girls high school to create awareness among students on how to respond in the face of harassment while being safe.
Addressing a gathering, Dr. Khadija enlightened girls on different kinds of harassment and how to be safe, advising them to contact departments concerned immediately upon facing such situation.
She also highlighted the importance of conveying in time information to police about any criminal activity and equalized it as active cooperation with police. SP cantonment said, police were trying their level best to ensure safe and secure environment for women and for protection of life and property of the people.
Dr. Khadija Umar also laid emphasis on more awareness among girls on how to deal with harassment and highlighting the positive role police play in dealing with such cases. Rest assured, police was always available to help you out, she added.
The seminar concluded with a question/answer session and the SP responded to every question from students in detail.
