Commissioner reviews revenue recovery, directs officers to meet targets


Bahawalpur: Commissioner Irfan Ali Kathia chaired a review meeting on revenue recovery on Tuesday to ensure the timely collection of government dues and the achievement of prescribed targets.



During the meeting, the overall revenue collection progress, ongoing recovery status and performance against designated targets across the division were thoroughly evaluated.



Directing officials to make the recovery process more proactive, effective, and result-oriented, Commissioner Kathia warned that negligence or sluggishness in collecting government dues would not be tolerated. He instructed field officers to exert all-out efforts to achieve their assigned targets and immediately resolve bottlenecks impeding the recovery process.



The commissioner directed assistant commissioners to effectively monitor inheritance cases, registry operations, and other revenue-related affairs while ensuring regular field inspections. He further instructed them to ensure the prompt deposit of official fees collected by tehsildars and patwaris into the national exchequer.
