CPO inspects security arrangements, directs effective patrolling

Rawalpindi: City Police Officer (CPO) Hassan Mushtaq Sukhaira conducted a visit to various areas of the city on Sunday to review security arrangements, snap checking measures, and mobile patrolling by police stations.

During the visit, the CPO inspected areas including Civil Lines, City, Murree Road, and Taxila, and reviewed the performance of police teams deployed for security duties and crime prevention.

He also checked the arrangements for snap checking and the patrolling activities of police station mobile units. Two Station House Officers (SHOs) were issued show-cause notices over negligence in their duties.

CPO Sukhaira said that protecting the lives and property of citizens was the foremost responsibility of police and no negligence or carelessness would be tolerated in this regard.

He directed officers to remain present in the field and ensure effective snap checking and patrolling to prevent crime and maintain law and order.

The CPO further stated that all possible measures would be taken to str
engthen security arrangements and curb criminal activities, adding that maintaining peace and ensuring public safety remained the top priorities of Rawalpindi Police.
