Meeting reviews arrangements for 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal, Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH)


Sukkur: A meeting to review the arrangements for 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal, Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) was held at the District Council Hall, Sukkur, under the chairmanship of Vice Chairman District Council Sukkur, Akhtar Khan Mahar here on Tuesday. Chairman District Council Sukkur, Syed Kumail Hyder Shah, participated in the meeting via video link.



The meeting was attended in large numbers by Town Chairmen, Union Committee Chairmen, DHO Health, officers of the Municipal Corporation and District Council, Local Government, Ulema-e-Karam, Scouts, and officers of relevant government departments.



Addressing the meeting, Chairman District Council Sukkur, Syed Kumail Hyder Shah, said that the celebrations of 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal, Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) would be held with the mutual cooperation of all schools of thought, religious leaders and relevant institutions, in a spirit of unity, religious harmony, love, and brotherhood.



He said that on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH), an exemplary atmosphere of peace and brotherhood would be established in the city, which gives a positive message of love, tolerance, and religious harmony.



He directed that the presence of ambulances and fire brigade vehicles on the routes of the Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) processions must be ensured in any case. The police were instructed to make foolproof security arrangements, monitor the processions through CCTV cameras, and make effective security and surveillance arrangements at the entry and exit points of the city.



In the meeting, instructions were also given to prepare a comprehensive contingency plan to maintain smooth traffic flow and to make proper arrangements for vehicle parking and car lifting. Officers of the Town and Municipal administration were directed to make better arrangements for cleanliness and street lighting in the city, so that the lovers of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) do not face any difficulty.



On this occasion, Vice Chairman District Council Sukkur, Akhtar Khan Mahar, said that government institutions, local body representatives, Ulema-e-Karam and social organizations should celebrate Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) with mutual cooperation in an atmosphere of grandeur, peace and brotherhood, so that a positive message of unity, love, fraternity and religious tolerance reaches the world.



He said that Sabeel stalls will also be set up at various places by the District Council and Municipal administration, while instructions have been issued to all Municipal, District Council and Town employees to ensure cleanliness in their respective areas.



During the meeting, Ulema-e-Karam highlighted the problems faced by residents in their respective areas, particularly those related to cleanliness, load-shedding, street lighting, and security. Taking notice of these issues, Vice Chairman Akhtar Khan Mahar, directed the relevant departments to take immediate steps for their resolution and assured the participants that the problems would be addressed.



The Vice Chairman further said that, as in previous years, the District Council Sukkur would conduct a balloting this year for Umrah, with all expenses to be borne by the District Council Sukkur.
