Tank: The district administration is taking concrete steps to curb overcharging, the sale of expired food items, and poor sanitation.
As part of these efforts, Additional Assistant Commissioner Tank, Malik Sajid Ali, visited different shops and thoroughly inspected the prices and quality of essential commodities, the availability of expired products, and the overall cleanliness situation.
According to the administration, during the inspection, expired food items were recovered from several shops and taken into official custody.
The shopkeepers found violating the regulations were also imposed heavy fines.
The Additional Assistant Commissioner directed shopkeepers to strictly follow official price lists, ensure the sale of quality food items, and maintain proper cleanliness at their shops.
He reiterated that regular inspections and strict action against violations would continue to ensure the availability of quality essential commodities to people at government-approved prices.
