Cultural heritage of Balochistan our valuable asset: CM Sarfraz


Quetta: A renowned singer and artist Arif Bugti called on Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti here on Monday.



They discussed the issue of transmitting Balochistan’s folk culture, music and centuries-old folk tales to the new generation in a modern way during the meeting.



On this occasion, Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti appreciated the efforts of singer Arif Bugti for presenting a song based on the folk tale ‘Samil’ in a new and unique way.



He said that the culture, traditions, folk tales and music of Balochistan are an important part of the historical and cultural identity of the province, which need to be harmonized with modern requirements and highlighted in a positive way before the world.



The Chief Minister noted that the artists and singers of Balochistan are highlighting the culture and traditions of the province effectively through their creative abilities.



He said that bringing folk tales to the new generation in a positive way through modern music is a commendable initiative that could further connect the young generation with their cultural heritage.



Sarfraz Bugti said that the Balochistan government is taking steps to promote fine arts, culture and creative activities, effective platforms would be provided to encourage talented artists of the province and highlight their art at the national and international levels.



Singer Arif Bugti thanked chief minister for his steps in encouraging artists and preserving the cultural heritage of the province.



The chief minister expressed his best wishes for Arif Bugti and said that the cultural heritage of the land of Balochistan is our valuable asset and preserving it is the common responsibility of all of us.
