Bahawalpur: The Curriculum Revision Committee has approved the draft curriculum for the Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical Engineering Technology, marking a significant step towards strengthening engineering technology education in the country.
According to an official press release issued by the Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB), Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran attended the meeting of the Curriculum Revision Committee, where members finalized the draft curriculum for the BS Electrical Engineering Technology programme.
The university said the revised curriculum is aimed at further improving the quality of engineering technology education by incorporating updated academic standards and industry-relevant content.
Separately, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran held a meeting with the Vice Chancellor of the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Taxila to discuss matters relating to higher education, engineering technology and academic collaboration.
During the meeting, both vice chancellors agreed to promote research collaboration and introduce emerging research trends and technological advancements into the engineering technology curriculum to better align academic programmes with evolving industry needs.
