Lahore: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Lahore Muhammad Ali Ejaz has directed revenue officials to ensure early disposal of all pending cases and provide prompt relief to citizens, stressing that negligence or delay in addressing public grievances would not be tolerated.
He issued these directions during a revenue open court held on Monday, where Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue Hafiz Karim Dad Chughtai heard public complaints and reviewed applications concerning property and other revenue matters. Revenue officers and relevant staff remained present during the open court to facilitate the applicants.
As many as 22 property-related cases were heard in detail during the session. Applications concerning jamabandi, mutation and inheritance were examined thoroughly, while necessary orders were issued on the spot after detailed hearings of the citizens’ applications.
The DC directed the revenue authorities to dispose of all pending applications at the earliest and ensure accuracy of revenue records. He particularly emphasized that inheritance-related cases should be resolved on a priority basis and directed officials to deal with citizens’ grievances promptly and efficiently.
DC Muhammad Ali Ejaz said that immediate redressal of public complaints is the district administration’s top priority and that all pending revenue cases should be settled without unnecessary delay. He further said that the doors of government offices are open to all citizens without distinction and directed officials to ensure transparent, efficient and timely service delivery.
