DC holds open court for addressing legal issues of public in Hranai


Quetta: Deputy Commissioner Harnai Arshad Hussain Jamali held an open court for addressing legal issues of public soon in the area on Monday.



On special directive of Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti and the instructions of the provincial government, an open court was organized in District Complex Harnai to provide relief to the people at their doorsteps.



The open court was attended by the Commander of FC 81 Wing, SP Harnai, Additional Deputy Commissioner Harnai, Assistant Commissioner Khoosat, district officers of various government departments, tribal elders, political and social figures, business community and the public in large numbers.



On this occasion, citizens from different areas of Harnai district presented their problems and difficulties directly to the Deputy Commissioner and officers of the relevant departments.



Complaints and suggestions were submitted by the public regarding education, health, clean drinking water, electricity, roads, drainage, sanitation, performance of government institutions, public facilities and other basic issues.



Deputy Commissioner Harnai directed concerned officials to timely address legal issues of public after listening problems and complaints of the citizens.



He said that timely and merit-based resolution of public issues is one of the top priorities of the district administration.



The DC also warned the officers that no negligence would be tolerated in providing relief to the public saying that the aim of the open courts is to establish direct contact between the public and the administration so that the citizens could convey their problems to the concerned authorities without fear or hesitation.



The participants of the open court appreciated such steps taken by the district administration to listen to public issues and resolve them and expressed hope that practical progress would be ensured on the issues presented.
