Gujrat: Deputy Commissioner Gujrat Noor-ul-Ain Qureshi chaired a meeting of the District Peace Committee to review arrangements for the Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA).
According to official sources, the participants appreciated the district administration and other departments for making effective arrangements during Muharram-ul-Haram.
The meeting was informed that all departments would continue to work together to ensure peaceful observance of Chehlum and provide the best possible facilities to mourners.
The district administration, police, Rescue 1122, WASA, Suthra Punjab program, municipal committees, District Council, GEPCO, SNGPL, Civil Defence and the Health Department were directed to maintain close coordination and ensure uninterrupted public services.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Qurrat-ul-Ain, Pir Syed Saeed Ahmed Shah Gujrati, Syed Altaf Hussain Rizvi, Syed Altaf Kazmi, Khadim Ali Khadim, other members of the District Peace Committee and officers of the relevant departments attended the meeting.
