DC reviews preparations for polio booster dose campaign


Hyderabad: Deputy Commissioner Zain-ul-Abideen Memon chaired a meeting at his office to review preparations for the upcoming Polio Booster Dose Campaign in the district.



The meeting reviewed the preparations and arrangements made by the relevant departments for the campaign. Addressing the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner stressed the need for effective coordination among all concerned institutions, a comprehensive strategy and public awareness about the importance of the booster dose to ensure 100 percent success of the campaign.



He said that samples collected from Hyderabad district were testing negative.



District Health Officer (DHO) Hyderabad Pir Ghulam Hussain directed the concerned officers to ensure that all children from birth to 10 years of age were administered polio drops during the campaign, scheduled to continue from August 20 to 31, 2026.



He urged all departments to play their role in making the national campaign successful and raise awareness among the public about the importance of the booster dose, which aims to further strengthen children’s immunity against polio.



On the occasion, N-Stop Dr. Lubna gave a detailed briefing on preparations for the campaign. All concerned officers also attended the meeting.
