GCUF announces first annual ADA, ADS, ADC results; position holders awarded gold medals

Faisalabad: Government College University Faisalabad (GCUF) on Tuesday announced results of the First Annual Examinations 2026 for the Associate Degree in Arts (ADA), Associate Degree in Science (ADS) and Associate Degree in Commerce (ADC), becoming the first university in Punjab to declare the results and enabling successful students to apply for admissions to higher education institutions without delay.

GCUF Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam formally announced the results at a ceremony held at the university’s New Campus, where position holders were also awarded certificates and gold medals.

Addressing the participants, GCUF Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam said that the university was continuing practical measures to strengthen a transparent, quality-oriented and timely examination system. He said that early declaration of results would provide students with better opportunities to secure admissions to universities across the country within the prescribed schedules.

The vice chancellor congratulated the position holders, their parents, teachers, college heads and principals on their outstanding achievements. He expressed confidence that the students would continue to excel academically and contribute positively to development of the country through their knowledge and abilities.

Speaking on the occasion, Controller of Examinations GCUF Dr. Muhammad Israr Chaudhry said that Government College University Faisalabad had become the first university in Punjab to announce the ADA, ADS and ADC results, ensuring that successful candidates could submit admission applications to higher educational institutions without facing delays.

University spokesman said that the examinations were conducted and the results compiled under the supervision of Controller of Examinations Dr. Muhammad Israr Chaudhry. He said that total 6,763 candidates appeared in the examinations across the three associate degree programs.

In the ADA program, Arooj Fatima of Aspire College Bhalwal secured the first position while Mehreen and Mahwish Noreen clinched the second and third positions respectively.

In the ADS program, Khadija Mustafa of Superior College Muridwala stood first, followed by Amina Bibi of Readers College Sargodha in second place while Maria Batool secured the third position.

In the ADC program, Qurat-ul-Ain of Superior College Chunda obtained the first position. The second position was shared by private candidate Umaima and Mahwish Muneer of Superior College Chunda while Asma Zafarullah secured the third position.

The result announcement ceremony was attended by Director Colleges Faisalabad Bushra Parveen, principals of affiliated public and private colleges, faculty members, students and their parents.
