DC reviews progress of development projects in Taxila


Rawalpindi: Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi, Captain (Retd) Nadeem Nasir, on Wednesday visited the Tehsil Office, Taxila and chaired a meeting to review the progress of ongoing development projects in the tehsil.



During the meeting, the DC was given a detailed briefing on the status of development projects, including their progress, stages of completion, challenges and future action plans.



Emphasising quality, transparency and timely execution, Captain (Retd) Nadeem Nasir directed all departments to ensure that development schemes were completed within the stipulated timeframe and according to the prescribed standards so that the public could benefit from them without delay.



He said unnecessary delays in development projects would not be tolerated and instructed all concerned departments to resolve obstacles through close coordination and effective communication.



The DC also directed officials to ensure regular monitoring of development works, maintain transparency in the utilisation of public funds and prioritise quality at every stage of implementation.



Nasir said that, in line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the provision of improved infrastructure, modern urban facilities and sustainable development projects remained a top priority of the district administration.



He urged all relevant institutions to work in close coordination to accelerate the pace of development in Taxila and ensure the effective completion of public welfare projects.



The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Taxila, the Chief Officer District Council, and officers of the concerned departments.
