DC reviews progress on digitization of revenue records in DIKhan

District


Dera ismail khan Deputy Commissioner Dera Ismail Khan Hikmatullah Khan visited the District Revenue Record Room on Thursday to review the restoration, preservation and digitization of land records under the Digital Record Management System (DRMS).



Accompanied by the Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Director Service Delivery Centre (SDC), Tehsildar SDC and other revenue officials, the deputy commissioner inspected the ongoing work and was briefed on the progress made so far.



He was informed that a 30*40-foot additional hall had been renovated, with new metal shelves installed and existing ones repaired to ensure safe preservation of records. The scanning of all 402 Misal-e-Haqiat (land record registers) across the district had been completed, while cataloguing and scanning of Roznamcha records in Model Tehsil Dera Ismail Khan had also been finalised.



The deputy commissioner appreciated the performance of the concerned team and directed officials to complete the digitization of land records in the remaining tehsils of Paroa, Kulachi, Daraban and Paharpur without delay, in accordance with the prescribed schedule.



He emphasized that the initiative would improve transparency, safeguard revenue records and facilitate the public in accessing revenue-related services.
