Peshawar Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Prisons Department has decided to expedite recruitment of jail warders against vacant posts in different regions, with the process to be completed in accordance with merit and prescribed rules.
The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by Inspector General of Prisons Rehan Gul Khattak, which reviewed progress on the recruitment of candidates who qualified the ETEA-conducted test under minority and transgender quotas.
The meeting decided to complete the scrutiny of successful candidates at the earliest and issue interview call letters, paving the way for appointments against vacant warder posts in jails across the Peshawar, Mardan and Dera Ismail Khan regions.
The meeting was attended by DIG Headquarters Neelam Sultana Khattak, DIG Finance and Planning Hashmatullah, regional DIGs, Deputy Director Administration and Assistant Director Establishment.
The IG directed the concerned officers to ensure transparency at every stage of the recruitment process and provide eligible candidates opportunities strictly according to the prescribed criteria.
