DC reviews social, cultural, sports and LG affairs in Matiari

District


Hyderabad: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Matiari Muhammad Danish Zakir on Tuesday said that all relevant institutions should play their role through mutual coordination and an integrated strategy to promote social harmony, public welfare, local government affairs and cultural and sports activities in the district.



He said that the concerned departments should effectively fulfill their responsibilities in accordance with the Terms of Reference (TORs) of the District Coordination Committee and ensure mutual cooperation for the overall development and improvement of the district.



According to a handout, he expressed these views while chairing a meeting of the social and political domain of the District Coordination Committee (DCC) at DC secretariat, Matiari. The meeting discussed various agenda items in detail in accordance with the committee’s TORs, while matters related to relevant departments and local government institutions were also reviewed.



The meeting discussed local government affairs, the performance of municipal institutions, matters concerning Union Councils, sports activities, cultural programs, Auqaf-related matters and other social and political issues. The DC Muhammad Danish Zakir directed the concerned officers to ensure effective progress on the matters discussed during the meeting and to address issues within their respective jurisdictions on a priority basis.



The meeting was attended by the chairpersons of all Union Councils of the district Matiari along with other concerned officers.
