Sukkur: An important meeting regarding the anti polio campaign was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Sukkur, Nadir Shahzad Khan, here at the conference hall of the DC Office Sukkur on Monday.
The meeting was given a detailed briefing regarding the polio booster dose during the month of August. All matters pertaining to the anti-polio campaign scheduled from September 21 to 27, 2026, discussed in detail.
Deputy Commissioner, Nadir Shahzad Khan directed the Assistant Commissioner Rohri and Assistant Commissioner Pano Aqil to review all important matters related to the campaign along with Taluka Focal Persons and other concerned officers and to ensure effective performance during the campaign.
The Deputy Commissioner said that legal action would be taken against anyone found guilty of misreporting during the campaign. He said that the anti-polio campaign was a national cause and all officers must perform their duties with full responsibility and submit daily reports.
Regarding the polio booster dose, the Deputy Commissioner directed that during the campaign, focus should be on all indicators for children’s health and protection from various diseases.
The meeting was attended in large numbers by District Health Officer (DHO) Dr. Syed Ali Gul Shah, Assistant Commissioners, and officers of Police, Sindh Rural Support Organization (SRSO), Rescue 1122, Education, Municipal, Local Government and other departments.
