Islamabad:Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Islamabad Ali Waseem visited different areas of the federal capital to review law and order and security arrangements.
A police official told on Thursday that during the visits, the DIG met police officers deployed at different locations and reviewed the overall security situation.
He directed the officers to remain fully alert, increase police patrolling and ensure proper checking of suspicious persons and vehicles to prevent criminal activities.
DIG Ali also instructed the officers to use all available resources to ensure the safety of citizens and protection of their lives and property.
He stressed the need for effective patrolling and strict security checks to maintain peace and law and order across the federal capital.
