Divisional peace committee reviews security arrangements


Rahim yar khan: A meeting of the Divisional Peace Committee was held in Rahim Yar Khan under the chairmanship of Commissioner Irfan Ali Kathia and Regional Police Officer Ghazi Muhammad Salahuddin to review security and other arrangements for Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) , particularly the central procession to be held on 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal across the three districts of the division.



The commissioner reviewed arrangements for Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) in Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar and Rahim Yar Khan through video link and directed the relevant officers to finalize all arrangements in a timely manner to ensure that the central procession was held peacefully, smoothly and in a befitting manner.



He directed the authorities to ensure foolproof security along the routes of the 1processions and ensure effective implementation of the security plan. The meeting also reviewed in detail arrangements of cleanliness along procession routes, traffic management, security, parking facilities and other administrative matters.



Commissioner Irfan Ali Kathia said that all relevant departments should perform their duties through close coordination and an effective strategy on the sacred occasion, ensuring that citizens faced no inconvenience.



Additional Deputy Commissioner (Municipal Services) Bahawalpur Dr Ayesha Khan and other relevant officers participated in the meeting through video link, while members of Milad committees, Ulema and religious scholars, representatives of various organizations and members of the Peace Committee also attended.
