Gujrat: District Police Officer (DPO) Akhtar Farooq chaired a crime review meeting with the DSPs and SHOs of Lalamusa, Kharian and Sara e Alamgir circles to review the law and order situation and police performance.
According to a police spokesperson, the meeting reviewed the overall performance of the circles, the crime situation, progress on cases under investigation, action against proclaimed offenders and habitual criminals, and the disposal of pending cases.
The DPO directed the officers to ensure timely prevention of serious crimes, arrest of proclaimed offenders and other criminals, merit-based investigation, and prompt disposal of cases to provide speedy justice to the public.
He also instructed the officers to further strengthen patrolling, enhance policing, and utilise all available resources to curb crime and ensure the protection of the lives and property of citizens.
