Chiniot: District Police Officer (DPO) Chiniot Dr. Naveed Atif organized an open court at Jamia Masjid Farooq Azam, Chiniot, on the occasion of Jumma Mubarak, in the line with the vision of Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
According to reporter correspondent, the DPO listened to the problems of the citizens and assured them of resolution, he directed the concerned officers to ensure redressal and instructed the Complaint Cell to follow up on the requests and submit a report.
The DPO briefed participants on various Punjab Police services and informed citizens about new traffic rules, directing them to ensure implementation. Addressing the gathering, he said holding an open court in the mosque is the Sunnah of Hazrat Muhammad ?, aimed at listening to people’s problems directly and promoting community policing.
He urged citizens to report social and moral evils as well as criminal elements, adding that their complaints will be noted by police and redressal will be ensured. The DPO emphasized that the safety of people’s lives and property and the establishment of law and order remain the top priority.
He added that all resources are being utilized to improve public service delivery. “I listen to the problems of the people during the open court in my office every day at 12 noon. Citizens should come to me without hesitation,” Dr. Naveed Atif said.
