Faisalabad: Director Livestock Faisalabad Division Dr Haider Ali Khan has retired from government service after attaining the age of superannuation and completing more than 32 years of distinguished administrative, professional and research contributions.
Spokesman for Livestock Department said that Dr Hadier Ali left behind a record marked by scientific expertise, institutional service and efforts to strengthen modern veterinary and diagnostic facilities in Faisalabad.
A farewell ceremony was held in recognition of his services where Team Livestock Faisalabad, led by Additional Director Livestock Dr Rubina Anjum, paid tribute to the retiring officer for his long and dedicated association with the department.
Senior officials of the Livestock Department also acknowledged Dr Haider Ali Khan’s professional capabilities, integrity, teamwork and commitment to departmental responsibilities.
Director General Extension Dr Syed Nadeem Badr, Additional Secretary (Administration) Muhammad Akbar, Additional Secretary (Technical) Dr Muhammad Usman Tahir, Director General Research Dr Sajjad Hussain, Director General Production Dr Kanwar Muhammad Naeem and Director Communication Dr Khaliq Shafi, among other senior officers, expressed appreciation for his services and professional contributions.
On behalf of Secretary Livestock Punjab Ahmad Aziz Tarar, Additional Secretary Muhammad Akbar presented a commemorative shield to Dr Haider Ali Khan in recognition of his long and meritorious service.
Livestock spokesman said that a PhD in Microbiology, Dr Haider Ali Khan has made significant contributions to livestock and veterinary research.
More than 17 of his research papers have been published in international journals, reflecting his sustained engagement with scientific research and the advancement of veterinary knowledge.
During his professional career, he also played a notable role in promoting modern veterinary and diagnostic facilities in Faisalabad, contributing to the strengthening of services available to livestock farmers and the veterinary sector.
Additional Director Livestock Dr Rubina Anjum paid tribute to Dr Haider Ali Khan for his valuable services and professional commitment, saying his contributions would remain an important part of the department’s institutional record.
