Dera ismail khan: The Dera police on Thursday foiled an alleged drug smuggling attempt recovered 3 kilograms of Ice drug and arrested a suspect here at the Mughalkot inter-provincial check post, officials said.
Acting on a tip-off, Mughalkot police station SHO Rehmatullah Khan and check-post in-charge Raziq Khan chased and detained a suspicious pedestrian. The suspect was identified as Muhammad Bilal son of Faqir Gul, a resident of Mansehra and currently living in Karachi.
The police said 3kg of ice was recovered from a bag carried by the suspect during a search. A case was registered against him, while further investigation is underway.
District Police Officer Ziauddin Ahmed appreciated the SHO and check-post in-charge for the action and said operations against drug trafficking would continue without discrimination.
